HWY 7 and Louisiana Ave: Diamonds and Roundabouts

Many changes are coming to Highway 7 in the near future. Over the summer construction will begin on a new bridge at the intersection of Highway 7 and Wooddale. During construction Minnetonka and Excelsior boulevards will be highly used alternate routes. This project is targeted as a “shovel ready” project as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (aka the stimulus package).

Safe Speeds

Since moving into the neighborhood a few years ago, we’ve noticed an interesting phenomenon. After each winter thaw there seems to be another two or three families pushing a stroller around the neighborhood.

When I am in my car coming home from work or heading off to the grocery store and see a family walking down the street, a person jogging, or a couple walking a dog, it serves a reminder to slow down and take it easy.

Comprehensive Plan Neighborhood Meeting – May 5

The discussion for our neighborhood is schedled to take place on Tuesday, May 5 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
